StopLossBags Steward - 4 Pack
Steward StopLossBags are engineered to preserve the working quality of paints and finishes, allowing you to reuse stored material time and again without compromise. By preventing oxidation and solvent loss, these pouches keep paint at a consistent viscosity and colour, eliminating spoilage, skinning, and unnecessary waste.
The robust three-ply construction and airtight seal make the bags easy to mix, handle, and dispense from — even with thicker finishes — making them ideal for touch-ups, staged projects, or repeat colour work. Designed with sustainability in mind, Steward bags can be cleaned and reused, reducing both paint waste and environmental impact.
Their space-efficient, flexible design allows for tidy shelf storage, freeing up valuable workshop or utility space previously taken by bulky, corroding paint tins. Each Steward bag holds 1.5 litres of paint or finish.
Features
- Engineered to keep paints and finishes fresher for significantly longer
- Allows precise dispensing — pour only what you need, every time
- Prevents rust contamination from tins and eliminates paint-stick residue
- Easy to store, open, mix, and pour without mess
- Optimised for both oil- and water-based products with no colour change
- Flexible pouches occupy far less space than traditional containers
Compatibility
Steward Bags are suitable for water and oil-based paints and stains, along with spirit-based finishes.
Do not use with liquids containing acetone, benzene, lacquer, lacquer thinner, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), toluene, xylene, isobutanol alcohol, ethyl alcohol, or ethanol alcohol. Some paint thinners may contain one or more of these solvents.
For bags previously used with oil-based finishes, cleaning with white spirits is recommended.
Filling Steward Bags
The collapsible funnel allows paint or finish to be transferred from a standard litre can directly into a Steward bag in one simple step. The wide end stretches over the can opening, while the narrow end fits the bag’s filling nozzle.
Before filling, inflate the bag with air and remove the secondary nozzle to allow air to escape during transfer, preventing pressure build-up and spillage. The funnel is easy to clean — dried finishes peel away after resting overnight on a folded paper towel. Thin oil finishes may require solvent cleaning.
